As part of a college group project, we are going to make a mod where you can shoot objects (physics props) and make them positive or negative. ie.oppositely charged objects will attract and objects of the same charge will repel. Not too sure if this has been done before or not.
My question is how would you go about it. We all have experience with C++ (none of us have experience with source sdk however) so should we just use the source code? or would it be easier to do it through scripts?
the basic idea is that each object will have a 'charge' property and by shooting it with primary fire it will go negative, or by shooting it with secondary fire it will go positive, it will check for objects in range that also have a charge and either move toward that object , or move away from it.
Any and all advice is welcome.
