Ok first off, Cigano, I don't see how you couldn't read that, maybe you're the one who has to go back to elementary school, considering you started your sentence with "1st" instead of "First".
ANYWAY.
deon91, here's my BASIC tutorial on making a camera.
You will need 3 entities, a pointcamera (point entity), a funcmonitor (brush entity), and a little common sense.
Firstly, you need to place a camera in your map, where YOU want it to be. Adjust the angles in a way so that the camera faces the area you want it to. Name this camera "cam1" or whatever is easy for you to remember. Don't play around with anything else unless you know what you're doing, and that's all for the camera.
Secondly, you need to make a brush with a length, width, and height of 128x8x128 respectively. Now go ahead and make the entire block 'NODRAW', and then using the texture application tool select 1 side, the side you wish to view the camera from, and give it a monitor texture, search dev monitor in the texture filter. There's a load of textures for a monitor, we're going to use a TV monitor texture, so pay attention to the name. Just as a side note, these show up VERY WEIRD LOOKING IN THE EDITOR, do not worry, they will look normal in game.
Finally make the brush you just made into a Func_monitor and edit its properties so that the 'camera name' is the name of the camera you made in step 1.
That's it!
If you have any questions or anything I should fix in this tutorial, PLEASE tell me.
You're welcome.
